Since the terms are consecutive:
x = 1st integer
x + 1 = 2nd integer

x + x + 1 = 83
x + x = 82
2x = 82
x = 41
x + 1 = 42

The larger of the two is 42.

gtnhenbr [62]

Answer:

2 hours * (47 miles / hour) = 94 miles

multiply the value in miles per hour by the conversion factor '1.609344'.

So, 2.2 miles per hour = 2.2 × 1.609344 = 3.5405568 kilometers per hour.

Write the expression in WORDS!

5x + 3
Svet_ta [14]
The expression 5x+3 would be three more than five times a number! More than in this case would be addition - so if you get the same problem with subtraction you just change more to less!
Basically what it's tell you is that if x stood for 2 in this case 5*2 = 10 since it's 3 MORE than 5 times a number (x is in place of a number), you're adding 3 to 10 and that gives you 13!
I hope I simplified it a little more and you understand!
Good luck, rockstar! c: I hope this helped!

vovangra [49]

Answer:

The answer is "NOT"

Step-by-step explanation:

 • To demonstrate a similar statement we want to have yet another side or some other angle, however, the third section is not proportional.
 • Its sides were equivalent in proportions (yeah sure they are) + corner by the by is not given.
 • There is no triangle angle provided so, that we can not enforce the SAS argument.
 • It is not evidence of similarity between ABC ≈DEF.
