Answer: common, compromised, together, one.

Explanation:

The four words most emphasize a call for unity in the excerpt are common, compromised, together, one.

To be united, the people must have a common purpose regardless of their party affiliation. Also, even though there are arguments, or quarrel, they should be resolved and there should be a compromise. Everyone is in this together and they should all see each other as one.

What can you infer about Macbeth’s mood from his own words in act V scene iii?
lakkis [162]
Macbeth is feeling invincible in this scene. His mania has risen to a level where he feels he cannot be touched or hurt until Birnam wood comes to his castle, which he believes to be an impossibility. He has taken the witches' prophecies and held them in his mind as if they put him on top of the world. He carelessly yells at his staff and demands that the doctor just simply fix Lady Macbeth. His mood is summed up at the end of the scene when he says "I will not be afraid of death and bane / Till Birnam forest come to Dunsinane". This shows that he will never be afraid of death or being hurt until the forest comes to him.

Ostrovityanka [42]

Answer:

b. The man from Maw and Meggins looked furtively at Mrs. White without speaking.

Explanation:

The word "furtively" means doing something in a hidden way, in a disguised, almost imperceptible way. Among the options shown in the question above, the only one that used that word correctly was option "B", as it showed how The man from Maw and Meggins looked discreetly and in disguise at Mrs. White, without issuing any comment, without drawing any attention .
