Area of circle:

A = pi(r)^2

to solve for r radius, first divide both sides by pi:
A/pi = r^2

then sq root both sides:
sq root(A/pi) = r

so if you were given the area of a circle, divide the area by pi then find the square root to find the radius

Solve to find the value of x.
Tresset [83]

Answer:

x=12

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that a right angle is 90 degrees. So we can make the equation 35+4x+7=90. Now, we can solve fore X! We can combine 35 and 7 to make the equation 4x+42=90. In order to isolate x we have to subtract 42 from both sides, getting us the equation 4x=48. Now, in order to isolate x we must divide each side by 4, getting us the equation 12=x.  To prove that x=12, we can subsitute x for 12.  This means that we can do 35+4(12)+7=90. Or, 35+48+7 =90, which simplified, is 90=90, making x=12 true. Hope this helps :)

1st round table has a center located ate (-4,6)

radius is 4 feet and each unit is equal to one foot.

edge of the round table will land at (-8,6)

an additional 5 feet must be added to give space for the guests to walk between tables.

edge of the 2nd table to the left of the 1st table, (-13,6)

to get the center of the 2nd round table, add 4 feet: distance (-17,6)

The center of the table found immediately to the left of the 1st table is (-17,6)

Use dimensional analysis to convert the quantity to the indicated units. 3636 in. to ft.
ad-work [718]

Answer:

36\text{ inch}=3\text{ feet}

Step-by-step explanation:

We are asked to convert 36 inch to feet using dimensional analysis.

We know that 1 feet equals 12 inches.

Let us convert 36 inches to feet as shown below:

36\text{ inch}=36\text{ inch}\times\frac{\text{1 feet}}{\text{ 12 inch}}

Inches will cancel out, so we will get:

36\text{ inch}=36\times\frac{\text{1 feet}}{12}

36\text{ inch}=\frac{36\times\text{1 feet}}{12}

36\text{ inch}=\frac{36\text{ feet}}{12}

36\text{ inch}=3\text{ feet}

Therefore, 36 inches equal to 3 feet.
