Dear Director.

My name is Mary Smith and I believe that, like me, you are concerned about the unsatisfactory performance that our school has been showing in public exams held in recent years. As a student of this institution, I felt compelled to look for something that could help our students to be more interested in academic work and for that reason, I decided to write this letter.

I believe that our students are saturated by such a traditional educational system that stimulates our ability to reason, formulate ideas and arguments in such a precarious way. With this in mind, I believe that we should modify this type of teaching and offer more modern and participatory classes that encourage students to understand academic content and be more active in class. To accomplish this, think about organizing an assessment system that eliminates the use of tests and replaces it with classroom discussions. In this case, students would be coerced to pay attention to the issues to be able to participate in the discussions more actively, preparing arguments and solving problems through debate and reasoning. This would prevent students from memorizing concepts and formulas that have little applicability in exams, but understanding the concepts through classroom interaction.
