Answer:

Explanthey each help organize passages and make things easier to read. we know this because titles tell you what you will read about, headings tell you about the section you are reading about, graphics/pictures show what you are learning about, ect. without these the passage would be very confusing and throw over (disorganized). we need them to understand more things.ation:

The old man and the Sea to whom is Santiago compared
Mekhanik [1.2K]

Answer:

Santiago, the protagonist in Hemingway's famed The Old Man and the Sea is compared to a Christ.

Explanation:

Santiago is compared to Christ through Christian allegory, as his suffering is the same as the suffering of Christ. He physically suffered to achieve a spiritual triumph.

The old man is depicted as a Christ on the cross: <em>"He settled comfortably against the wood and took his suffering as it came"</em>

What is the method for drawing conclusions that asks questions of the text and involves the reader in finding the information?
SVEN [57.7K]
The method is called deductive reasoning. In it, the thinker starts from the most general claim, which is obvious in itself. Then he asks more questions, each of which is more specific and particular. Thereby he finally reaches the answer. The answer which is found with this method has the least chance of being false. Aristotle is the philosopher who invented the term.
