What impact did the concept of Nativism have on Immigration during the 1920s? Explain
SSSSS [86.1K]

Answer: Our estimates suggest that immigration, measured as the average share of migrants in the population between 1860 and 1920, generated significant economic benefits for today's population, including significantly higher incomes, less poverty, less unemployment, more urbanization, and higher educational attainment

Explanation: In situations where immigrants greatly outnumber the original inhabitants, nativist movements seek to prevent cultural change. Employment: Immigrants acquire jobs that would have otherwise been available to native citizens, limiting native employment; they also create a surplus of labor that lowers wages.

Who established a claim in the new world for england
lubasha [3.4K]

Many of the people coming to New England were looking forward to religious freedom. Beginning in the reign of King Henry VIII, England was submerged in state controlled religion. His duaghter Mary wanted to revert to the old religion after his death. She did not last long. Elizabeth took over as Queen and reverted to her father's choice. In the midst of all this chaos, the Continental Europe was going through Luther and Calvinism. Many British and Europeans simply came to New England to put distance between them and their King or Pope.
