I believe that all three types of branches are important. The legislative branch makes laws The executive branch carries out those laws made by congress The judicial branch interprets them at the supreme court.
Without those 3 branches working together, we wouldn't have established a government. It's a series of checks and balances to make sure each branch has the same equal amount of power.
