The correct answer is B) do a lot of reading and writing.

Positions abroad afforded Neruda the time to do a lot of reading and writing.

Pablo Neruda(1904-1973) was a famous writer and diplomat from Chile.

It was a renowned literary author who won the Noble Prize in Literature in 1971.

He was also a man interested in politics and served different diplomatic positions in some countries. He was a diplomat in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in Spain (Barcelona, and later in Madrid), and later in México (México City).

These positions abroad helped him to develop as the great author he was. During his time as a diplomat in foreign countries, Pablo Neruda had the time and the environment to read, inspire, and write many poetic and literary works.
