Isolationist feelings in America dates back to the colonial period..

in 1930, with the power of the two,Great Depression and the memory of tragic losses in World War one contributed to pushing American public opinion and policy toward isolationism. Isolationists advocated non-involvement in European and Asian conflicts and non-entanglement in international politics  and it  would change with the triumph of urban industry and finances
