How many syllables are in the word masonry? (Hint: There cannot be more syllables in a word than there are vowels. Many people,

even masons and building professionals, mispronounce this word.) What are the most common types of masonry units? What are the molding processes used in manufacturing bricks? How do they differ from one another? What are the ingredients of mortar? What is the function of each ingredient? Why are mortar joints tooled? Which tooling profiles are suitable for a brick wall in a severe climate? What is the function of a structural brick bond such as common or Flemish bond? Draw the three most popular brick bonds from memory.

Identify whether to use affect or effect in this sentence.
Katarina [22]

Answer:

A

Explanation:

I chose this because affect means "To have an affect on" while effect means "To change something's thoughts or actions via a belief"

An example of this would be "I went and saw a movie, and it had a effect on me about my thoughts of nature"

Can someone help me improve my paragraph? PLZ
qwelly [4]

Answer: I added some things

Explanation:

Other than race and ethnicity, culture can be defined and characterized through religion. For example, there are Asians of many different ethnicities. There is Japanese, Chinese, Koreans, and more, but every single ethnicity, no matter which one doesn't have a specific religion that they pursue spiritually. The Chinese can be atheists, Catholics, Christians, Jewish, Muslim, Mormon, Hindu, Buddist, and many other religions. Just like any other race or religion could be also. Just because a specific group of people are specific race or ethnicity does mean they have to have a specified religion. In the end, religion is truly opinionated and is what one chooses believes in or in some cases what one is told to believe in. Thus, that is why religion is one of the many parts that define culture.

Appeal to Reason (magazine)
anzhelika [568]

Answer:

D). Rapacity and debauch.

Explanation:

Word-choice always play a vital role in conveying the intended message effectively to the audience and elicit desired response and feelings from them. It makes the idea more clear and meaningful.

In the given passage, the words 'rapacity and debauch' conveys the author's contempt towards railway corporations. These <u>words reflect that how does the author adopt a critiquing tone by reflecting how they defy law to curtail their 'greed and avarice'(rapacity) through 'morally corrupt'(debauch) politics</u> and 'crimes' for which they are never found guilty. Therefore, <u>option D</u> is the correct answer.
