Answer:

Those lovely days,

When the cuckoos made their beautiful sound,

And little kids who played on the ground,

But my youth, it fades...

I sat today on my wheelchair,

Thinking about the mundanity of life,

When the cuckoos stopped singing

and when, they ran away, that spice

The spice was none other than my face,

burnt with red marks

As I covered my face with a cloth

I realized about the human race.

They love you when you are young,

Call you names and cuddle,

But when you grow up.

The spikes of beauty are flung.

Answer:

I'm living the dream today

I get to be in the big parade

marching and singing to the beat

I hope this day never ends, its much too sweet

Can we put our day into a glass jar

and keep it forever I guess a globe is similar

Today I'm living the American dream

I never want it to end, it would ruin my self-esteem

I lived every day putting up a fight

against all of those thoughts who thought they were right

They liked screamed and kick

which only made me follow my wish

How did I do it

I must say

I never found out even today

I just know that this was meant to be

That good old childhood dream

Today I got to follow my dream

My descriptions aren't even a bit extreme

When you practice what you wish

Some day you might receive this gift

Shelia took the rap for her brother when he broke the antique lamp.
omeli [17]

Answer:

It is an Idiomatic expression.

Explanation:

An idiomatic expression is a phrase or group of words whose meaning cannot be deduced from the literal words used. In the sentence above, 'to take the rap', simply means to take the blame for an offense for which the individual may or may not be guilty of. So, Sheila was blamed or punished when her brother broke the antique lamp. The native speakers of a language are quite familiar with the idiomatic expressions in their language.

I knew that the phrase, 'took the rap', was an idiomatic expression because I could not easily deduce its meaning from just the literal words used. So I understood that there must have been a deeper meaning to it.

Which sentence has an adjectival phrase underlined? Question 28 options: My college roommate lives in Honduras now. Penelope and
Leokris [45]

The sentence that has an adjectival phrase is: His grandmother from New Zealand is visiting for two weeks.

An adjectival phrase is a group of words that describe a noun or pronoun in a sentence. It could consist of an adjective or a string of adjectives. For example, she is a beautiful, intelligent and sensible girl. In addition, an adjectival phrase not only can modify a noun but also a pronoun, like in this case, where 'from New Zealand´' is an example also of an adjectival phrase.
