What narrative function of setting Hills Like White Elephants in Spain?
Alekssandra [29.7K]
The setting of the story is 1920s Spain, and the events take place in a train station between Barcelona and Madrid. The description of the physical setting mirrors Jig's thoughts and dilemmas about having an abortion. The social setting is focused on relationships and identity.

Based on the passage, which of the following might be a theme of “the chrysanthemums”
AlekseyPX

I had to find the options but the answer is  A.

In this short story, the main character Elisa is a woman who has a creative potential, as well as strength and persistence, but she never gets a chance to put them to good use. She craves an opportunity to realize her potential, but there is none. All she ever does are chores and housework, so she invests all her creativity into nurturing her chrysanthemums. The stranger is quite an intriguing figure for her - if nothing else, because he is different from her husband. He inspires her.

State exceptional situations or activities that you did just once. Then state the activities that you used to do during that sum
JulsSmile [24]

As a young boy in high school who had always envied ambidexterity in people, i was determined to write with my both hands. Due to this determination, after being dared and underrated by my best friend, i wrote a whole page with my both hands simultaneously. After this singular experience, i entertained fear that this ability was just a mistake and could not repeat itself, it never did.

I loved going to the farm everyday, going for choir practice on weekends, and playing chess with my siblings every evening. All these activities, except farming , stopped as soon as i became a young adult. I still go to farm everyday.
