Katen [24]

Answer:

Traveling to New Zealand would be an amazing experience. I would enjoy snowboarding, visiting hot springs, and seeing volcanoes. I will have fun doing other extreme sports. I am excited to see the rocky coasts, forests, and mountains. Traveling between the two islands might be tiring, but I will be able to see two different climate zones. I will miss out on summer activities, but I love winter activities and will enjoy myself.

where is most of the liquid water on earth and what would have to be done so that humans could drink it?
DerKrebs [107]

Most of the liquid water on Earth is found in the oceans, in fact the percentage is so big that it comes as if almost all liquid water on our planet is in the oceans while the water from the lakes, rivers, ponds etc. is just a minor part of the whole.

The water from the oceans contains salt, thus making it a salty water and not suitable for drinking as it is naturally. For this water to be consumed and be part of the daily of the humans for drinking it needs to be desalinated. Desalination is a process that gets the salt out of the water and makes it suitable for drinking. This is not an unknown or untested process, it is something that is practiced for decades now mostly on the Arabian Peninsula where there isn't any fresh water resources.

During winter, what is the most likely temperature of the water at the bottom of lake superior in the northern united states?
viktelen [127]
During winter, the temperature of the water at the bottom of Lake Superior in the Northern United States is 4°C (which stands for Celsius). There is a simple explanation for this; in wintertime, the temperature of Lake Superior often stay above -30°F (which stands for Fahrenheit). Most of the time this lake is covered in ice, rendering a cold temperature but not cold enough for Lake Superior not to experience storms when months like October - December roll around the corner.
