Slavery and racism.

Explanation:

In the 1820s slavery was a thing, if you think about it racism is a thing until today. Some people are discriminated by their skin color, disability, even the way they look. There are people nowadays that if they see a group of black people at night in the same side walk coming towards them they might change directions thinking that they might get robbed or killed. There is a lot of racist people in this world, white to black and vice-versa. It's mostly because of what some ancestors treated black people.
