Africa's demographic dividend is an illusion​ because there are still less number of working age population as compared to population non-working age. The demographic dividend of Africa can be increased if the skill share of Africa's labor supply will be doubles which is only possible through education. This increase in demographic dividend increase the growth of the country as well as reduce poverty that are present across Africa so there is no significant increase occur in the demographic dividend of Africa so that's why we can say that it is an illusion.
