Jem ages from 10-13 over the course of "To Kill A Mockingbird",  which has brought a great change in any child's life. The changes he had went through has been seen from the point-of-view of his younger sister. He has represented an idea of bravery in the novel. In the beginning of the novel, Jem thinks bravery is touching the side of the Radley house because he has never declined a dare. But as the story progresses; Jem has learned more about bravery from Atticus facing the mad dog, to Scout's confrontation towards the mod at the jail. He grew overall from a boy who drags his sister along to a young gentlemen that protects Scout and tries to help her understand all the events that are surrounding her.

Answer:

This is just modified of the other answer. It's exactly 200 words.

Jem ages 10-13 over the course of "To Kill a Mockingbird",  which has brought a great change in any child's life. The changes he had gone through have been seen from the point-of-view of his younger sister. He has represented an idea of bravery in the novel. At the beginning of the novel, Jem thinks bravery is touching the side of the Radley house because he has never declined a dare. But as the story progresses; Jem has learned more about bravery from Atticus facing the mad dog, to Scout's confrontation towards the mod at the jail. He grew overall from a boy who drags his sister along to a young gentleman that protects Scout and tries to help her understand all the events that are surrounding her. Jem became more mature and responsible over the course of the book "To Kill a Mockingbird". Although at the beginning of the book he used to be a careless, dare-loving kid who wouldn't turn down any dare, he grew up because he started to realize what was morally correct, mature, and responsible responses. Atticus had taught the kids morality with his lessons and lectures as they grew up.

Lelu [443]

The best insight to life during the late 1600s, especially in the Colonies, is the uncertainty of life, how at the time nobody could take anything for granted.

Rowlandson learns from the attack that no one is guaranteed life, no life is above the mishaps of existence (which were even more plentiful at that time) and life can be short and brutal.

Nonetheless, another aspect of the story that offers a powerful insight into life at that time is her unwavering faith in God's will. Throughout the whole experience, Rowlandson keeps her faith and perceives everything that happens into a blessing or a doing of God.
