Answer:

-5n + 20

Step-by-step explanation:

n stands for the term number so if you want to find the 50th term all you have to do is substitute n with 50

first of all find the difference between each number in the sequence

the difference between 25 and 20 is -5

the difference between 20 and 15 is -5

the difference between 15 and 10 is -5

the difference between 10 and 5 is minis -5

because

25-5=20

20-5=15

15-5=10

10-5=5

now that you know the the difference you place the number in front of n like this

-5n

to find the rest all you need to do is use the difference between each number which is -5 and do it on the first number

so 25 - 5

this gives 20

so our nth term is -5n + 20

if you still don't get i can re-explain it to you

A 14.5-gallon gasoline tank is 3434 full. How many gallons will it take to fill the tank? Write your answer as a mixed number.
max2010maxim [7]
This is a multiplication of fractions.  If the tank is 3/4 full, and the tank holds 14.5 gal, then we need to multiply 14.5 * 3/4 First, convert 14.5 to 14 1/2 = 29/2 as an improper fraction Now, we have 29/2 * 3/4 = 87/8 = 10 7/8 gal That's how much gas is in the tank now. However, we want to know how much is needed to fill the tank. That can be determined by subtracting 10 7/8 from the amount that the tank can hold when full, which is 14.5 or 14 1/2. 14 1/2 - 10 7/8 can be re-written using improper fractions 29/2 - 87/8       We need a common denominator, which is 8 116/8 - 87/8 = 29/8 = 3 5/8 gal That's how much is needed to fill the tank

what Equation in slope intercept form represents the line that passes through the points ( 3,5) and ( -9,2)
daser333 [38]

Answer:

y=(1/4)x+17/4

Step-by-step explanation:

find slope (m)

m= (2-5)/(-9-3)

m=-3/-12

m=1/4

plug into point-slope form

(im using point (3,5))

y-5=1/4(x-3)

y-5=1/4x-3/4

y=1/4x+17/4

hope this helped
