Jefferson makes good point. But what it means to me is this. His words were meant to reinforce that the men who died and those that lived exemplified the very foundation the United states were built upon. Also that all men were created equally, and that men should be free. Hope this helps you.

The gettysburg address says this:
<span>"Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth, upon this continent, a new nation, conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that 'all men are created equal'"
</span>
The above says that America, which is "a new nation" was "conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that 'all men are created equal.'"

Furthermore, near the end of the Gettysburg address, Abraham Lincoln says this, ";that the nation, shall have a new birth of freedom, and that government of the people by the people for the people, shall not perish from the earth."

Thus he concedes that the Nation that fights for equality should continue to fight for equality, and should not perish from the Earth.

Hm it might not be the right answer but I think it would be parallel plot because the author Is using two plots in one story so that might mean it would take longer for the reader to understand whats going on in the story
