Ali took a minute to think while the scratching and the noise got louder and more aggressive. While he was still thinking in his

tent, something crashed into the tent. Ahmad jumped out of the tent immediately because he thought that the dangerous animal was attacking Ali. Hearing the noise, everyone ran out of their tents to make sure that Ahmad was safe. To everyone's surprise, it was only a tree branch that was making the noise. The Nest-Robet Zacks Why did Jimmy feel queer and frightening sense of loss, as well as of gain?Explain
V125BC [204]

Answer:

Jimmy had this feeling because his mother not scolding him because of his disobedience felt like he had suddenly grown up and was now left alone to make decisions on his own, something he was not used to.

Explanation:

Jimmy Swanson insisted on going for the hike with Paul even when his mother did not grant him the permission. He felt caged because his parents always monitored him and made important decisions for him. Now, however, he flouted his mother's instructions, went on the hike, and even invited Paul to come over to his place.

Strangely, his mother approved of his decision as against the scolding which he expected. This was new to him, and left him feeling like he was now alone in the world to make his own decisions. It is just like seeking freedom and when you finally get it, you discover that it comes with responsibilities.

That is an interjection. The general rule is: Anything followed by a '!' is an interjection. A conjunction would be a word like "and" or "because." It joins stuff together. So, that's off the list. A preposition is an object's position or something with respect to time. So, that's off the list as well. An adverb describes an adjective and Yes, is not an adjective. So, the answer is Interjection.
