Why did the American people want life to return to the way it was before world war 1
vodomira [7]

Answer:

The American Expeditionary Forces arrived in Europe in 1917 and helped turn the tide in favor of Britain and France, leading to an Allied victory over Germany and Austria in November 1918. By the time of the armistice, more than four million Americans had served in the armed forces and 116,708 had lost their lives. The war shaped the writings of Ernest Hemingway and John Dos Passos. It helped forge the military careers of Dwight D. Eisenhower, George S. Patton, and George C. Marshall. On the home front, millions of women went to work, replacing the men who had shipped off to war, while others knitted socks and made bandages. For African-American soldiers, the war opened up a world not bound by America’s formal and informal racial codes.

In 1819, two states joined the U.S. This meant that there were 12 states that allowed slavery and 12 states that did not. Which
enot [183]

Answer:

Explanation:

Slavery in what would become the United States was established during European colonization. In 1776, slavery was legal throughout the Thirteen Colonies, after which colonies started to abolish the practice. Pennsylvania abolished slavery in 1780, and about half the states abolished slavery by the end of the Revolutionary War or in the first decades of the new country, although this did not always mean that existing slaves were freed. Although not one of the Thirteen Colonies, Vermont declared its independence from Britain in 1777 and at the same time limited slavery, before being admitted as a state in 1791.

What was promised by the church to those who are in the crusades
seraphim [82]

Answer:

The Pope promised all crusaders three things:

1. All who went on a Crusade were forgiven for their sins and had a place reserved for them in heaven should they die in battle.

2. If you were in debt, you did not have to pay interest on the money while you were away, as you were doing 'God's work'

3. Anyone who attacked your home, family or possesions while you were away was to be excommunicated (thrown out of the church).

This, and the glory was what was promised to the Crusaders.
