In order to become a civil servant, people had to take tests. The better they did on the tests, the higher position they could get in the civil service. The examinations were very difficult. Many people would study at the imperial university or under tutors for years in order to pass the tests.

pros :

made a profit from a cash crop

free labor because they were workers  using them

less deaths from harsh weather

made it easier to sell and produce way more cotton

increased work thru out america with its discovery

cons:

hard to filter

was not built the greatest

poked  the fingers of  workers if not careful drawing  every time

was not portable

there was only the one until they figured out how to make more with little supplies

not many were assigned and kept to the job

tried being destroyed
