Answer:

Before fully becoming involved in the war, America was sending a lot of goods and weapons and military needs to the other allied powers. After Pearl Harbor, they became fully involved in the war in both the European and Pacific Theaters, and really helped turn the tide of the war in favor of the allies, and eventually ended the Pacific Theater by dropping atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Japan.
