What pulled people to the United States during the period of “new immigration” (1890-1924)?
ch4aika [34]

Answer:

People were pushed away from their homelands during the period of new immigration 1890-1924 because of many factors such as war, famine (widespread hunger), religious and political intolerance, no jobs, could not own land and no education opportunities. On the other hand; they found in America, plentiful jobs, religious and political freedom, education opportunities, abundant and inexpensive land, and abundant food.  Starting around 1890, millions of people emigrated from their homelands to the United States.  These people were known as, and are still called, immigrants.
