To find the volume of a cylinder, just follow this simple formula:
pi * r^2 * h = V
So, first find the radius of the base (take the diameter of the circle and literally divide it by 2), and then square the radius. From there, multiply the radius by pi (3.141 should be ok if your teacher didn’t specify what they wanted) and then multiply that product by the HEIGHT of the cylinder. And you found your volume!

Readme [11.4K]

Answer:

a ">"

Step-by-step explanation:

3 to the power negative one (-1) is the same as 1/3 (one unit divided by 3).

1/4 on the other hand is one unit divided by 4.

Dividing one object into three parts (think for example a chocolate bar) gives you a larger (greater) piece than dividing it into four equal pieces.

Therefore 1/3  > 1/4

Answer:

9.     6k + 5 and 2k - 1.

10.    5√2 .

Step-by-step explanation:

9.    Area = 12k^2 + 4k - 5

Factoring:

12k^2 - 6k + 10k - 5

= 6k(2k - 1) + 5(2k - 1)

= (6k + 5)(2k - 1)

So the required lengths are 6k + 5 and 2k - 1.

10.  The ratio of a leg to the hypotenuse is  1: √2 so if the hypotenus = 10 the length of a leg is 10 / √2

= 10 √2  / 2

= 5√2 .
