She was America's first prima ballerina, and the first Native American to do so. Her dancing revolutionized ballet, and though she retired in 1966 she continued to actively promote ballet in Chicago.

In 1946, Maria married Balanchine, and on year later, she joined his ballet company, the New York City Ballet. The company became very popular---and so her "enchanting," "brilliant," and "electrifying." She became the first world-class prima ballerina in the United States. A prima ballerina is a gifted dancer who is featured in ballets as a star performer.

What opposition did President Wilson’s ideas face among Allied nations as well as within the United States?
ArbitrLikvidat [17]

Wilson outlined fourteen points that included the end of secret diplomacy, armament reductions, freedom of the seas, and the creation of an international organization with representatives of every nation to avoid any conflict escalation.

But the European allied nations were more interested in retribution than peace and Germany was forced to pay unlimited reparations. While the Fourteen Points were all ignored, Wilson did get approval for a league of nations. However, back in the US, he encountered opposition from isolationist Republicans in Congress who thought the League could limit the country’s autonomy and drag the country into another war.

In what ways was the renaissance a continuation of medieval times?
Mashutka [201]

The Renaissance was the ending period of Medieval times when societies were already opening and able to create a period of cultural, artistic, political and economic rebirth from the dark ages of Medieval times.

During this period religion was put aside and philosophy, literature, and art became the center of the knowledge, which was also a change from the Medieval period.

We can say that the Renaissance is a part of the Middle Ages because it is the end of it before the modern-day civilization.

Vietnam "hawks" or supporters of the war wanted to see Communism defeated. The war with Vietnam provided an opportunity to contain and possibly destroy Communism. They supported an "any means necessary" approach to defeat Vietnamese aggression which pulled us into war.
