Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

use these two equations

A: y = 15

B: y = 2r + 5

a) set the equations equal to eachother for your first answer

15 = 2r + 5

B) solve for r

15 = 2r + 5

10 = 2r

5 = r

after 5 rides the cost will be the same

Karla bought 2 pounds of red beads , 1 3/4 pounds of green beads , and 10 ounces of string at the craft store. How much do Karla
Natasha_Volkova [10]
First you can change the mixed fraction (1 3/4) into an improper fraction.  First you add the whole number add the nominator and then multiply what you get by the denominator.  So 1+3=4, 4x4=16.  Then we have 16/4 which simplifies to 4.  Now we can add everything else because they all have common denominators (2/1, 4/1, 10/1).  So 2+4=6.  6+10= 16.
The final answer is 16 pounds.

III. 1,127.50 dollars

Step-by-step explanation:

Formula for continuous compound interest:

A = Pe^{rt}

Plug in the values for one year:

A = 1000(2.71828)^(0.06)(1)

A = 1,061.84 dollars

Plug in the values for two years:

A = 1000(2.71828)^(0.06)(2)

A = 1,127.50 dollars
