2 x 3 = 6 sq in.
2 x 4 = 8 sq in.
2 x 6 = 12 sq in.
Triangles: (since there are 2 you don't need to do 1/2 x base x height)
3 x 4 = 12 sq in.

Now add 6+8+12+12 = 38 sq in.
