Answer: D. because he feels the exam was painfully tough

Explanation:

Verbal irony: a figure of speech when somebody means something other than what they said/they reality.

Paul says that the exam was as pleasant as a root canal, and root canals are not pleasant at all. This tells us that Paul did not find the exam nice, rather, he found it painful, hence he meant the opposite of what he actually said.

Which statement best summarizes "Save the Coral Reefs"?
morpeh [17]

Answer:

the answer is coral reefs are a very important component of the ocean’s ecosystem because they support sea life, such as crabs and sea turtles. In fact, over four thousand species depend on the survival of the reefs, which are being destroyed by bleaching. More must be done immediately to save the reefs.

Is the verb in the sentence in the active voice or the passive voice? This race car is driven by a sixteen-year-old boy.
MatroZZZ [7]

It's in passive voice.

A good rule of thumb for cases like this is that if it has any variation of the verb "to be" (is, was, were, etc.) it's passive voice.
If you wanted to switch it to active voice you need to get rid of "is", and this is usually done by switching the subject and the object (so while in the original sentence, the race car is the doing the verb, to switch it you'd need to make the sixteen-year-old boy be the one doing the verb). This new sentence would be something like:
The sixteen-year-old boy drove the racecar
