In 2014, in an official report published, it says that the total number of suicides in 2014 was 532 soldiers, with 273 active duty personnel, 90 guards and 169 reservists. Following the official reports, in the January-March quarter of 2015, the Department of Defense says that in comparison with 2014 and 2013, the number of sucids decreased, and clarifies that, among soldiers, airmen, sailors and three marines, 57 active soldiers died in total because of the suicide. From January 2014 to March 2015, a total of 589 military personnel killed by suicide.
