Hoy vamos a ir de Madrid hasta Segovia. No es un trayecto muy largo,that is why if we leave at 10 in the morning, we will arrive around 11:00 in the morning. First we are going to visit the Alcázar de Segovia, a very prominent castle in Spain. It is said that this castle inspired Walt Disney to create his "Magic Kingdom".This castle is located on a promontory where first the Moors had built their own fortress. When the Moors were expelled from the Iberian Peninsula, the Catholic kings built the Alcázar in the same place and included Moorish architectural elements. At the end of the day we will visit the famous Roman aqueduct. When the Romans occupied the Iberian Peninsula, they set up a system of aqueducts to carry water to their main cities. Nowadays,the aqueduct does not carry water but it has become the best known place in the city. The construction is wonderful because they did not use mortar between the stones. Notice!
