Why do winter and summer climates vary more widely in much of eastern Europe?
Zarrin [17]
Due to two factors..
The first factor is the placement of Europe in relation to latitude lines.
Up north is bound to be more cold than most places down south near the Mediterranean sea. (Which is closer to the equator)
The second factor is the physical geography of the region. Ranging from mountain ranges like the Alps and the Urals to the flat planes of much of mid Europe. The weather interacts with these regions and determines the climates making up much of the continent. (Only takes a rudimentary understanding of basic earth science and geography to understand that. Which statements support the claim that Jenner has been given credit for starting and spreading the practice of immunization? Je
Anna11 [10]

Two statements support the claim that Jenner has been given credit for starting and spreading the practice of immunization:

  1. Jenner became interested in the protective effects of cowpox during his apprenticeship. Here, we are told that Edward Jenner started working on ways to defend the body against diseases as early as during his apprenticeship when he was a teenager. He had been told that farm workers who had contracted cowpox were immune to the smallpox epidemic which was spreading across Europe at the time. He then started working on a vaccine containing cowpox.
  2. Jenner made the first step to erase smallpox. This first step was to try his new smallpox vaccine on a child in 1796. The child did not catch smallpox. In order to get recognition and validation from the authorities, Jenner administered his vaccine to 22 more people, with success.
