The __________ was the first commercially available audio compressor in the late 1950s.
snow_lady [41]

The LA-1 was the first commercially available audio compressor in the late 1950s.

Compressors and limiters are instruments used in music production to shorten the gap between an audio signal's softest and loudest parts. They provide you the ability to adjust the volume, and when utilized properly, produce recordings that are louder and sound more polished.

The LA-2A compressor, on which the IA-LA1 is largely based, offers more control over colouration and gain and less control over threshold, attack, and release because these parameters are not controllable. Instead, to make the compression process simpler, these are applied automatically.

What are some recent impacts of immigration in the United States?
MrRa [10]

In 2016, there were 43.7 million immigrants in the United States. That's 13.5 percent of the total population. About 1 million immigrants a year receive green cards that allow permanent legal resident status.

Immigrants live with 16 million American-born children who are U.S. citizens. Those immigrants and their families make up 25 percent of all U.S. residents. Almost 75 percent are documented immigrants and their children.

Immigrants have less education than the average American. But that's improving. For example, thirty percent of immigrants, 25 and older, lack a high school diploma compared to 9 percent of native-born adults. But that's better than in 1970 when more than half of immigrants lacked a high school diploma.

Furthermore, 30 percent of immigrants have a college degree. That's similar to the 32 percent of native-born counterparts. Forty-seven percent of immigrants who entered between 2012-2016 have that degree.

hope that helps and there are definitely some key points in that, but i'm not doing it to be annoying so you have to work for the answer and find it

Read the excerpt from a novel by a Palestinian writer.
BigorU [14]

Answer:

(Option 3) Palestinian refugees have a deep yearning to return to their homes.

Explanation:

It keeps referring to leaving their joys and sorrows in Palestine. In the end it said "We left them, hoping to return".

In process of elimination, the tone is sad, so option 1 is incorrect. It never mentioned about a new homeland, canceling option 4.  The article wasn't focused on orchards and flowers, leaving only option 3, so option 3 is correct
