Explanation:

Depending on the way that material artifacts are organized, archeologists and historians can determine how a culture could have developed, and what that culture valued more over other things, or how people were divided among social classes.

For example, if in an archeological site it is found that a house has many material artifacts, some of them valuable, like gold, or goods from afar, while another house has very little if any material artifacts, the archeologist can establish that the first house likely belonged to a wealthier or more powerful person, while the second house likely belonged to a poorer or less powerful person.
