Answer:

The answer is the following:

Friar Laurence: He hopes that the marriage of Romeo and Juliet will end the hatred between the Montagues and the Capulets.

He agrees to marry Romeo and Juliet, and tries to help them to come together through the use of a sleeping potion, which finally determines their fate.

Mercutio: He is disgusted by Romeo’s refusal to fight when challenged and dies cursing the Montagues and Capulets for his fate.

Romeo's close friend, he makes fun of romatic feelings and ends up blaming both families for his death.

Lord Capulet: He is the head of a powerful family. He threatens to disown his only child for rejecting an arranged marriage.

Juliet's father wishes that she marries Paris.

Prince Escalus: He is the ruling authority of Verona. He decides that Romeo will not be executed but only banished for killing Tybalt.

Since he is a friend of Mercutio and Paris, the Prince does not carry out a death sentence againt Romeo, but is concerned with keeping Verona free from violence and disturbance.

Answer:C. A decrease in the production of ATP.

Photosynthesis is a process of formation of food by green plants and algae using CO2 and water in the presence of sunlight. It is primarily divided into two phases that is -

1) light dependent phase ( Hill's reaction) and 2) light independent phase ( calvin cycle).

Light dependent phase is the first phase in which chlorophyll first absorbs energy from sunlight and convert it into chemical energy in the form of ATP and NADPH.

ATP and NADPH is further utilized in the calvin cycle ( light independent phase, which is the next phase of photosynthesis) in order to synthesize food ( glucose, which is a carbohydrate).

If a plant does not receive enough sunlight, there will be decrease in the production of ATP because it is associated with the first phase of photosynthesis that is the light dependent phase.

Thus, option C) is the right answer.

zvonat [6]
Denotation is the actual meaning of a word, what you would find in a dictionary description for that particular word. On the other hand, connotation refers to the feelings or emotions you relate to a particular word. For example:
(1) inexpensive is pretty neutral; but when you use cheap, it usually has a negative connotation
In all of these examples, the second word is the denotation, or rather neutral connotation, whereas the first word has a slight negative connotation.

Name the parts of speech: Harry's father is Seattles wealthiest citizen.
salantis [7]

First some definitions just to be sure we are on the same page:

The subject is a word or group of words about which something is stated in a sentence. The statement is referred to as the predicate.

Verbs in the English language are a distinct part of speech which describes an action, an event, or a state.

A direct object is a noun or pronoun that receives the action of a transitive verb in an active sentence. A direct object receives the action performed by the subject. The verb used with a direct object is always an action verb

So, with that information:

They are speaking about Harry's father -subject

is (the only action word) is the verb, and

Seattle wealthiest citizen would be the object.

Hope this helps.
