Answer:

8

Step-by-step explanation:

Let,

t1 = 27

t2 = 18

t3 = 12

t2 / t1

= 27 / 18

= 3 / 2

t3 / t2

= 18 / 12

= 3 / 2

Common ratio = 3 / 2 = 1.5

t4 = t3 / 1.5

= 12 / 1.5

= 12 x 2 / 3

t4 = 8

For each peak, the ball decreases it's height from the ground by 1 / 1.5 times, Using sequence, we can find the height of ball from the ground for different levels of peaks.

Here, we may use Geometric Progression

The sequence follows as:

27, 18,12,...

The first term (a)= 27

27/18 = 18/12

common ratio = 1.5

Let fourth term be x

Therefore , 12/x = 1.5

=> x= 12/1.5 = 8

Write the following quadratic expression in standard form: ( 2 x − 1 ) ( 3 x − 1 )
jeka94

Answer:

<em>6</em>x^{2}<em> - 5</em>x<em> + 1</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

Standard form is: ax^{2} +bx+x

To reach that you have to distribute:

(2x - 1) (3x - 1)

2x (3x - 1) = 6x^{2} - 2x

-1 (3x - 1) = -3x + 1

Combine like terms:

6x^{2} - 5x + 1

Hailey spent $12 to buy 2 fish. Her cousin spent double the amount on fish. Each fish cost the same amount. How many fish do Hai
Greeley [361]
Haley spent $ 12....her cousin spent double....so her cuz spent $ 24

haley spent $ 12 for 2 fish...12/2 = 6 bucks per fish
so if the cuz spent $ 24....24/6 = 4.....cuz got 4 fish

haley's 2 fish + cuz's 4 fish = 6 fish in total

Find the value of y.
Leno4ka [110]

Answer:

\sqrt{55}

Step-by-step explanation:

Based off of what we do know, if we can find length DB we can use the pythagorous theorem (I will be assigning the variable z)

x^{2} =36+z^{2} \\\\y^{2}=25+z^2\\\\x^{2} +y^2=121\\\\

First equation is for triangle ABD

Second is for BCD

And the last one is for ACD

Substitute x^{2} and y^2

36+z^2+25+z^2=121\\\\61+2z^2=121\\\\2z^2=60\\\\z^2=30\\\\z=\sqrt{30}

As discovered before

y^2=25+z^2\\\\y^2=25+30\\\\y^2=55\\\\y=\sqrt{55}

If m∠5 =53° and m∠7 =125° , find the measures of each numbered angle.Then explain how u found each angle,citing definitions and
bija089 [108]
#5 = 53° #7 = 125° #6 = 55° #2 = 72° #3 = 55° #1 = 53° #4 = 127°

triangle = 180°
alternating interior angles are the same (#6 & #3 and #5 and #1)
#3 and #7 should equal 180°
#1 and #4 should also equal 180°
#6 and #7 should equal 180°
#4 and #5 should equal 180°

I think this is easy for yall but nor for me lol need help
Marrrta [24]

Answer:

x = 14

Step-by-step explanation:

So because the sides are equal, that means that the angles are equal.

5x = 3x + 28

Step 1.) Subtract 3x from 5x which leaves you with 2x.

2x = 28

Step 2.) Divide 28 by 2, to get the variable on its own. This leaves you with 14

x = 14
