The Uniform Crime Report (UCR) is a program of the federal government of the United States of America that was launched in 1929. The main purpose of the UCR is to gather and compile informations on crimes that were committed and reported to the law enforcement agencies in the United States of America.
Generally, the federal bureau of intelligence (FBI) are saddled with the responsibility of publishing these crime statistics reports in the United States of America.
Hence, the UCR measures the most serious crimes also called Part I crimes.
