I thought this was a sincere question but ig its a test question so here lol, yeah tbh someones past does matter it gives you a sense of who they were as a person. but honestly your pass actions dont make you who you are. its like you did something you regret and you tried to change and felt like you did and someone doesnt think you have at all. its wrong itsnt it? its possible to leave your past behind you but it takes a few steps leave it completely. only you know who you are as a person, you know yourself the most.

Answer:

Repetition is a literary device that makes an idea or message clearer by using it continuously.

It can also be used as a rhetorical device; a word, line or sentence repeated to make its significance in the whole text more emphatic.

From the poem above, the poet uses repetition of the word "If" to emphasizes the need for calm.

"If you can wait and not be tired by waiting," from line 5 shows that the author believes there is a reward if we meet a certain requirement.

In many east asian cultures, people may answer "yes" to a question even though they mean "no" in order to?
Olin [163]

In many East Asian cultures, people may answer "yes" to a question even though they mean "no" in order to avoid embarrassing someone or help them save face.

What is an eastern culture?

The Chinese language and traditional writing systems of Hanzi, as well as common religious and ethical concepts represented by the Three Teachings Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism, are some of the defining East Asian cultural traits.

Thus, it is correct to state that saying "yes" should not always be taken literarily in eastern cultures.
