You're standing in line at a coffee shop when you spot a shiny coin on the ground. You bend down to pick it up, but a big black
Greeley [361]
You look up at a furious man glaring at you. Tattoos crept up his neck and his face was covered in scars as if they were trophies showing the fights he’s how.
Describe the coffee shop and how the man walks and talks. His voice is deep and raw and tells you to come with him. You could then make him warn about something from the future like a terrorist attack that will happen in 5 mins and it’s your job to get everyone out of there. Or he could take you somewhere. It’s up to you just make sure you use lots of descriptive language and similes, metaphors, adjectives and make sure to use correct grammar

When the debate is lost slander becomes the tool of the user meaning
Aloiza [94]

"When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser(s)" refers to certain people's tendency to turn the biterness and humiliation of losing an argument into personal attacks against the debate opponent and their image.

To slander means to defame, to say false things about someone in an attempt to damage their reputation.

This statement is often attibuted to Greek philosopher Socrates, but there isn't any evidence supporting the fact that he originated the phrase, so it would be best to avoid quoting Socrates in this case, especially in school assignments.

Write an essay that analyzes how a text explains the sequence of events that affected the discovery of the Rosetta stone
mixas84 [53]

Answer:

When the Rosetta stone was found in August of 1799 nobody knew how to read the stone. Because it said the same thing in three different languages Greek, Egyptian and Egyptian hieroglyphics. It took 20 years to read what the Rosetta stone had said. The people who wrote the words on the Rosetta stone were a group of priests they had written that the priests at a temple in Memphis supported the king. The stone is a valuable piece of history because it uncovered a lot of history about Egyptian culture and how to read and write hieroglyphics. The stone is made out of a slab granodiorite.
