The photosynthesis is chemical process of synthesis of food in the form of carbohydrates in an organism by using reactants like carbon dioxide, and water in the presence of sunlight. The organisms which produce their food by the process of photosynthesis are called as autotrophic organisms. Plants prepare their food by the process of photosynthesis, they belong to the kindgdom Plantae. But some bacteria and protists are also capable of producing food by photosynthesis. Therefore, it can be said that An organism that produces its food by photosynthesis may be placed in the Plantae kingdom because except plants it may be a bacteria or protist.
