Stanley had $10.75. he bought a notebook for $1.89 and a package of pens for $3.72 he used the rest of his money to buy as many

folders as he can. if each folder cost $0.64 how many folders can stanley buy?

1.89 + 3.72 = 5.61
10.75 - 5.61= 5.14
5.14 x 100= 514
0.64 x 100= 64
(You can skip out the multiplying by 100 but doing this step makes it easier to do without a calculator)
514/64= 8.3
Round the number down to 8 and this is your answer.
