Answer:

I do not see a choice of answers, but I hope that this helps you. Miss Thomas notices that Bud is full of insect bites on his face and hands. She finds out that he was bitten by hornets when he was locked in the Amos' shed. Bud goes on to tell her about who his father is and the story continues. One time at the Sweet Pea, he was crying. She comforted Bud by putting his head up to her chest and singing to him. She shows him the house and that he will be sleeping in a dead girl's room. He is scared that she is going to haunt him.

Explanation:

Miss Thomas is the singer in Herman E. Calloway's band. She becomes a maternal figure for him. She tucks him in at night and takes care of him. Miss Thomas is how he learns some interesting things about his mother and he will soon discover that Herman is his grandfather - not his father.

Pani-rosa [81]
For many people, nothing will ever be enough. We as humans will always want more and will never be satisfied. Humans have a tendency to take and take but we don't realize how large of an affect that this habit that we have formed is costing our planet. Therefore, there is no quantity that will be enough.

Read this excerpt from Section III of The Way to Rainy Mountain.
aksik [14]

In "The Way to Rainy Mountain", by N. Scott Momaday, in this excerpt from Section III, the effect of the first-person point of view is The reader learns how the author himself felt about the Kiowa dogs.

The dogs that lived among the Kiowas were "nameless and lived a life of their own". People appreciated them but nobody claimed their ownership, they respected the dog's independence. This we know as the effect of the first-person point of view in which we are told how the narrator thinks, acts, and feels. The point of view that is used to convey the story from the novelist's perception is the first person point of view.
