Explanation:

These rights are protected because they give us our own rights to be ourselves, and say what we want as long as it's not completely inappropriate in any way. It doesn't keep us in a strict life of restraint. Gives us our own sense of freedom with easy to follow limits. Also allows us to speak our mind on political and peaceful awareness spreading.
