TWO ways in which therapsids are different from reptiles.
Svet_ta [14]

Answer:

Therapsids were "mammal-like" reptiles and are ancestors to the mammals, including humans, found today. One group of therapsids is called dicynodonts. All species of dicynodonts were herbivores (plant eaters) and their sizes ranged from small burrowers to large browsers.

Mammals evolved from a group of reptiles called the synapsids. These reptiles arose during the Pennsylvanian Period (310 to 275 million years ago).  It was over millions of years that some of these therapsids would evolve many features that would later be associated with mammals.

Why fresh water protozoa bear contractile vacuole?
Lerok [7]

Answer:

It lacks a wall thus use the contractile vacuole to collect and expel excess water from the cell.

Explanation:

  • The contractile vacuole regulates the quantity of water inside a cell through a process known as osmoregulation.Osmosis constantly drives water in the cell since it is enclosed by a semipermeable membrane that can not keep the water out thus it is needed to prevent rupturing of the cell due to excess water in the cell.
