Dr (name), field trips provide students an experience outside the class rooms or labs. Even with budget cuts I’m sure many of us students and volunteers are willing to help out to make our field trip viable. They give students access to culture, history, and art that may be left out of the regular curriculum. The sensory, physical, and social aspects of field trips enrich learning experiences. ... They can help students prepare for life after graduation and future careers.

What are some Polysyndeton examples in the book ''Night'' by Elie Wiesel?
evablogger [386]
At last, a required reading question that does not require having done the reading!

Do you know what asyndeton is? (It's the absence of a conjunction where grammar requires one.) A common asyndeton is "I came, I saw, I conquered." (Veni, vidi, vici in Latin.) The "and" that goes in a series is missing.

Most often the missing conjunction is and or or, but it can be anything.

Now find some of those in the book.

Which of these is an example of an idiom?
Tanya [424]
Choice A. is an example of an idiom. Notice that it uses the words "his mood came out of left field." It's not to be taken literally. Idioms are expressions whose meaning is not predictable from the usual meanings.

Examples are:

"It's raining cats and dogs!"
- It's not literally raining cats and dogs like animals are falling from the sky. It means that the rain is heavy and it may refer to storm with winds.

"It costs me an arm and a leg."
- It doesn't really mean that you have to give up your body parts. It may refer to something so hard to get that you have to work really hard for it, causing your body to get tired and maybe it costs a lot that you need to give your body parts for it.

I hope you get it! :)
