The complementary DNA strand will be :

gac tga cga tta

ctg act gct aat

In double - stranded DNA, the hydrogen bonds between the bases of one strand and the bases of the other strand maintain the 2 strands united.

One purine on one strand necessarily binds to a pyrimidine on the other strand.

A binds to T (by 2 hydrogen bonds).

G binds to C (via 3 hydrogen bonds)

The A composition of the DNA is therefore equal to the T composition, and the G composition of the DNA is equal to the C composition.

This strict correspondence (A <-> T and G <-> C) makes the two strands complementary. One is the template, the mold, the matrix of the other, and vice versa, and vice versa: this property allows the exact replication (semi-conservative replication: one strand -the mold - is preserved, one new is synthesized ("de novo") on this mold, likewise for the other strand, another mold, preserved, allowing a strand to be synthesized de novo.

Which can lead scientists to change a theory that has already been accepted? Check all that apply.
Zepler [3.9K]
Well theory isnt proven. It means you have a strong idea about the subject your talking about. So if a scientist finds evidence that suggests something against the theory then it can be changed.

Crossing over occurs during which phase of meiosis
grandymaker [24]

prophase

Further genetic variation comes from crossing over, which may occur during prophase I of meiosis. In prophase I of meiosis, the replicated homologous pair of chromosomes comes together in the process called synapsis, and sections of the chromosomes are exchanged.

Hope it helps!

How is a generic embryonic cell different from a differentiated cell?
Rom4ik [11]

A generic embryonic cell is different from a differentiated cell because it has a specific structure to perform a certain function. During development, cells become increasingly different from one another so that they can be specialized for specific functions.

What are embryonic cells?

These stem cells come from embryos that are 3 to 5 days old. At this stage, an embryo is called a blastocyst and has about 150 cells. These are pluripotent (ploo-RIP-uh-tunt) stem cells, meaning they can divide into more stem cells or can become any type of cell in the body.

With this information, we can conclude that Cell differentiation is how generic embryonic cells become specialized cells. This occurs through a process called gene expression. Gene expression is the specific combination of genes that are turned on or off (expressed or repressed), and this is what dictates how a cell functions.
