The<em> Bush Doctrine </em>is a foreign policy approach that President George W. Bush practiced during (2001- 2009). It was the basis for the American invasion of Iraq in 2003. Its an element of "America first" unilateralism, when president Bush decided to withdraw the U.S. from the U.N.'s Kyoto Protocol to reduce worldwide greenhouse gasses.
