What impact did The Great Depression have on school lunches and school lunch programs?

(not sure if this is exactly related to lunch, but...). The effects of the Great Depression on schools began in 1932. It lead to budget cutbacks and lower teacher salaries. (you can say how the cutbacks didn’t provide much money for schools to be able to buy quality lunch for the students)
