Modern smartphones meet the computing needs of most people. One of their biggest advantages is portability. They have replaced c

ameras, maps, notebooks, calculators, diaries, and calendars. People use smartphones in ways that we couldn’t have imagined before. Let’s consider a few situations that show how smartphones have changed the way we live.
Many criticize smartphones because people seem to care more about being on their phones than socializing with real people. However, smartphones allow us to stay in closer contact with others who live far away. They also give us access to a larger number of people we can contact in case of an emergency. Smartphones also contain apps for maps and global positioning systems. You can use these apps to find people and places or send your location to friends and family.

Smartphones are powerful, portable computer devices. They have replaced many items that performed single tasks, making our lives easier.

Identify and evaluate the imagery and figurative language used in the poem “Tattoo” by Gregg Shapiro and how it relates to the m
Savatey [412]
In the poem, the following figurative languages are used:

Blue as blood - simile
Protection like acid - simile
I wear him like a cloak - simile

The first one talks about the tattoo on the father's wrist. This idealizes that the tattoos are part of the father's body and distracting like a vein (veins appear bluish from the outside)
The second one is an abutment; protection is compared to acid, which is a substance that destroys, not protects. This implies that the efforts of the father in protecting the child feel like it is eating away (like acid).
The third one describes feelings of the speaker under the father's protection; The speaker sweats under the weight of being wrapped around instead of getting comfortable and relieved.

What kinds of experiences have allowed you to explore and develop new skills?
Stella [2.4K]

Answer:

Experiences like getting lost in the woods or picking a fight I know I can not win helped me grow stronger and stronger. For examples, as a kid my mother would take me caravels, but one time I got lost. I looked everywhere for my mom but I could not find her. Now, as a kids I was very shy, but I knew I had to find a police man or woman to help me find my mom. I ended up getting a police woman to help me find my mom but it took me effort to talk to the woman.
