The Treaty of Paris was the official peace treaty between the United States and Britain after the American Revolutionary War. The treaty was signed on September 3, 1783. The treaty was negotiated and signed in Paris, France. There were three important American people that negotiate the treaty they were John Adams, Benjamin Franklin and John Jay.

Major Points To Know:

1) The main point  was that Britain recognize that the Thirteen Colonies as a independent free states and that Britain no longer have power to claim the land or the government.

2)Another point is the right of the United States to expansion western also known as the Louisiana Purchase which the US expanded west all the by to the Pacific Ocean.

  1. Mabel is from Ghana, a West African Nation.
  2. Mabel's mother died when she was young and was sent to live with her grandparents. Unable to take care of her due to poverty, they sent her to work in the fishing industry located on Lake Volta.
  3. Sometimes, she was forced to work seventeen hours at a go.
  4. She was not paid at all. She worked under duress.
  5. She could hardly sleep at night because at night, she was also required to make dinner for other workers
  6. After she was rescued, Mabel for the first time was able to attend school.
  7. Over 40 million people are trapped in modern day slavery. About 5.5 million of them are children.
  8.  Thousands of people are forced to work without pay.        
  9. Statistics from International Labour Organisation shows that as at 2016, there were about 15.4 million people in forced marriages.

  15. Commencing in 1525, 12 million African slaves were shipped to the New World. The New World is often used to refer to the Americas, including North America, Central America, and South America.
  16. The 13th amendment is a revision made to the Constitution of the United States of America and provides that "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction"
  17. Over 400,000 people are thought to be enslaved in the United States. This is according to the findings of the Global Slavery Index.
  18. According to the Global Slavery Index, 60% of modern slaves come from China, Democratic Republic of the Congo, India, Indonesia, Iran, Nigeria, North Korea, Pakistan, the Philippines and Russia.

1.). The Taino people slept in Hammocks, while the Europeans were more civilized.

2.). Taino's and European's did not speak the same languages.

3.). The Taino's belong to the Arawak indigenous groups originating in the Amazon and Orinoco river basins in South America, some of whom still live there today.

4.). European visitors, who viewed the islands as tropical paradises. Some also considered the Taíno way of life as ideal.

5.). Taino's Lived in Huts, while Europeans lived in Houses.
