GIVING BRAINLEST Based on the three chapters of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer that you have read, analyze the character of Aunt P
DedPeter [7]

Answer:

Explanation:

Tom Sawyer :

The young protagonist of the novel. Living with his aunt St. Petersburg, Missouri, Tom has a penchant for adventure and "showing off." Constantly getting into mischief, he plays hooky from school and would rather go swimming than tend to his Sunday school lessons. Blessed with an active imagination, Tom dreams to be a noble robber such as Robin Hood or a pirate. Hungry for attention, Tom is obsessed with appearing noble and obtaining the envy of his peers. However, Tom is extremely clever and possesses an incredible insight on human nature. Throughout the novel, Tom must learn to listen to his conscience and become accountable for his actions.

AUNT POLLY: Aunt Polly can be a big old pain in Tom's neck. She scolds Tom. Sometimes she even hits him with her thimble (a punishment that seems extremely humane when compared to the schoolmaster's wicked beatings). But who can blame her? Tom does get into a lot of trouble. He skips school constantly. He goes missing for days, is presumed dead, and then reappears, happy as a clam, at his own funeral. Ask yourself: do you think your mom would act so chill?

Truth is, Aunt Polly's pretty cool, considering what Tom puts her through. She can be a bit foolish sometimes, what with her miracle cures, superstitions, and feeble attempts to ensnare Tom, but her foibles are endearing. And she demonstrates her love for Tom so many times that you can't help but love her too.
